iGOOGLE

I set up an igoogle home page for my home computer. I love this feature and the ability to cutomize it to our needs. As my daughter and I share the computer, our igoogle homepage has features we both find important. I added to my home page gadgets that include: NY times, the Sartorialist, TED, NY times crossword puzzle, Wired, a dictionary, the hclibrary gadget, and netflix. My daughter added cartoon network, youtube, and a doll page. We also have a calendar and a koi fish tank that is very peaceful. This may sound very busy but you can choose how you want your gadgets laid out and maximize and minimize as needed. Now, instead of trying to find something in the long list of our favorites, the pages we most commonly visit are always right at our fingertips. we are both thrilled with our new homepage!

RSS feeds

Yesterday I subscribed to some rss feeds. I like the idea of staying informed about the things I'm most curious and without having to visit each sight. It would be even better to receive an email with a link when a new post has been added to my gmail reader. Not sure if this is possible.
